4 Ways to Rock a White T-shirt

The white t-shirt is a staple item - almost every guy has one in their wardrobe - and it's one of the most versatile pieces of clothing there is. It looks great on any skintone or body type, and goes well with everything. The one we used, and love, in this article is from Everlane (highly, highly recommend). A white t-shirt, by nature, is very basic, but that doesn't mean your outfit has to be basic. Here are 4 ways to elevate a white t-shirt in your outfit.

1. Athleisure

In my opinion, this is the easiest way to make a white t-shirt look good. It's easy enough to throw on a pair of track pants or sweatpants, but what really makes this outfit look like you put in effort (even though you really didn't have to) is a minimal watch and a pair of stylish sneakers, like NMDs. This is something I'd wear walking around the city or going to grab coffee on a weekend.

2. Chinos

Chinos are a white t-shirt's best companion, because they instantly give you swagger. They're not as casual as a pair of jeans, and if they fit right, they'll completely elevate your look. Finish off the look with a pair of white sneakers and a slightly dressier watch. This is perfect for going out to lunch with friends or checking out a park.

3. Button-up Shirt

Wanna look nice going out for dinner or drinks, but don't want to put in a lot of effort? Take that white t-shirt and throw a button-up shirt over it (unbuttoned, of course). The more interesting the button-up shirt is, the more interesting your outfit gets, so pick one with some color or a pattern. Put on some black jeans and a pair of boots and you're good to step out the door. Can't forget about the timepiece, either.

4. Bomber Jacket

If I had to pick a favorite white t-shirt look, it would be this one. The craziest part is that this outfit is 50% the same as the last one - all you're doing is swapping out the shirt and boots. A light bomber jacket (quilted looks extra nice) is perfect for slightly chilly weather or a summer night, even. Bring back the white sneakers for this one and you've got a classic.
